Stories and publicly visible information

NailTeller is a public storytelling platform. Information included in a published story, comment, profile, reaction, or other public contribution may be visible to anyone who visits the website.

Public content may also appear in search engine results or be copied, shared, screenshotted, quoted, or distributed by other users.

Before submitting content, carefully consider whether it contains information that you do not want made public.

Do not include sensitive information such as passwords, financial information, government identification numbers, home addresses, personal phone numbers, medical information, or private information about another person.

Anonymous submissions

NailTeller may allow users to submit stories without displaying their real name publicly.

An anonymous public submission does not necessarily mean that no technical or account information is collected. NailTeller may retain limited information needed for moderation, security, abuse prevention, account support, or legal compliance.

NailTeller may edit or remove names, locations, business names, images, and other identifying details when necessary to protect privacy or reduce potential harm.

Story review and moderation

Submitted stories and other content may be reviewed by NailTeller staff or authorized moderators.

We may edit titles, grammar, spelling, formatting, spacing, or identifying details to improve readability, protect privacy, or comply with our policies.

We may reject, restrict, hide, or remove content that violates our Community Guidelines, Terms of Use, applicable law, or the rights and safety of others.

Cookies and similar technologies

NailTeller may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, remember user preferences, maintain login sessions, understand website usage, improve performance, and protect against fraud or abuse.

Cookies are small files stored on your browser or device. Some cookies may be necessary for the website to function properly.

You may be able to control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may prevent some NailTeller features from working correctly.

Analytics

NailTeller may use website analytics services to understand how visitors find and use the website.

Analytics providers may collect information such as device type, browser type, approximate location, pages visited, time spent on pages, and interactions with website features.

Information collected through analytics may be processed according to the privacy policies of the applicable analytics providers.

Advertising and third-party content

NailTeller may display advertisements, embedded content, social sharing tools, or links provided by third parties.

Third parties may use cookies, pixels, or similar technologies to collect information about interactions with their services, subject to their own privacy policies.

NailTeller does not control the privacy practices of third-party websites, advertisers, social networks, or service providers.

How information may be shared

  • Investigate fraud, abuse, harassment, threats, or illegal activity
  • Enforce our Terms of Use or Community Guidelines

Business changes

Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or transfer of all or part of the NailTeller platform.

With your direction or consent

We may share information when you request, authorize, or consent to the disclosure.

Data retention

We may retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate NailTeller, provide requested services, maintain records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, enforce our agreements, and comply with legal obligations.

The length of time information is retained may depend on the type of information, the reason it was collected, account status, moderation requirements, security needs, and applicable law.

Copies of deleted information may remain temporarily in backups, security logs, or legal records before being permanently removed through normal system processes.

Data security

NailTeller uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no website, database, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Account and story removal requests

You may contact NailTeller to request removal of your account or a story you submitted.

To help us verify ownership, we may ask you to provide information connected to the account or original submission.

Some browsers provide a Do Not Track setting. Because there is not currently a universally accepted standard for responding to all Do Not Track signals, NailTeller may not respond to every browser-based Do Not Track request.

You may still use browser settings, cookie controls, or available privacy tools to manage certain tracking technologies.

Children's privacy

NailTeller is not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through NailTeller, please contact us so that we can review and remove the information when appropriate.

Links to other websites

NailTeller may contain links to third-party websites, services, advertisements, or social media platforms.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external website or service you visit.

International users

If you access NailTeller from outside the United States, your information may be processed or stored in the United States or other locations where NailTeller's service providers operate.

Privacy and data protection laws in those locations may differ from the laws in your country or region.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to NailTeller, our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other operational needs.
